Tiger Woods Car Crash

Its hard to believe Tigers wife needed to smash both rear passenger side windows to save her husband from a 30 mph car accident. How about opening the door with car keys? If there was a golf club so handily available shouldn’t the keys to the car have been somewhere near by as well?

Now the public is to believe that the lacerations on his face were caused by the 2009 Cadillac Escalade hitting a hydrant and then a tree and not by his wifes rage over another woman, I mean seriously, the airbag didn’t even go off. Which means the Escalade was going less than 35 mph. I would like to see the bruises on his face, they might look like scratch marks caused by the wheel but I’m sure Tiger will not make himself available to the public until he is fully healed.

What bothers me is if it was anyone besides Tiger or a celebrity, charges would have already been filed and the person would have been brought to the police station and interrogated. Does this playout differently if he had injured a passer by? He was operating a moving object on a street exiting the community onto public roads. How can someone in a fully cognitive state of mind lose control of their vehicle exiting their driveway and hit not one object but two?

Plaxico Burress carried a firearm on himself and shot himself and he received two years in prison. Tiger operated a vehicle and luckily crashed it with no one around. What should be his punishment? Does the police investigation process change if this was a football player, basketball player or rapper?

What makes this worse is the feeble statement he posted Sunday on his website which left many questions unanswered. This leaves the media to do what it does best and speculate. Tiger won a US open with a torn ACL but we are expected to believe that the injuries suffered from the crash are much greater and therefore he is unable to participate in his own charity event. Sounds to me like someone has a bruised ego.

The 2009 Cadillac Escalade received a 5 out of 5 rating score in front impact collisions. This is the best vehicle to hit a tree in.

Grateful Greyhounds, a Second Chance

Greyhounds, the fastest breed on earth raced its way into the hearts of many at GratefulGreyhounds.org. Thousands of these dogs are bred each year and unfortunately almost an equal number are killed annually. Greyhounds are bred to race in the many tracks around the U.S. however their racing lifespan is short (1-2 years) which leads to a huge percentage of them being destroyed at a very early age. GratefulGreyhounds.org is helping to change those statistics by being in the forefront of Greyhound adoption. I had the privilege of meeting this wonderful organization labor day weekend at Martha Clara Vineyards on Long Island. Many greyhounds were present with their adoptive families. The dogs had a gentle disposition, were warm and affectionate, making the thought of killing them unimaginable. I met many Greyhounds but Oreo and his perky ears drew my attention. I walked over met Oreo & his adoptive parents George and Ginger. George told his adoption story, the excitement and anticipation of waiting for their greyhounds arrival was in comparison to waiting for an adopted child. Oreo was saved and given a home by George and Ginger, in return he brought them happiness. Help save these noble animals by not attending Greyhound racing. A lack of interest in the races will stop the over breeding and end the destruction of the lovely animals. The team at Grateful Greyhounds make weekly appearances throughout Long Island seeking future adoptive families and spreading awareness.

The reality behind reality tv show: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Needless to say reality television is the best thing since sliced bread for the networks. No need to hire talented screenwriters, just take a group of people and let the drama begin. Bravo tv has the latest reality craze with their Real Housewives show based out of different states (California, New York, Atlanta & New Jersey). Currently airing they have The Real Housewives of Atlanta (season 2) which has their ratings and audience viewing through the roof. There is a mass following which includes Anderson Cooper from CNN’s A360. The premise of the current series is wealthy African-American “housewives” with only two of the cast members being actual wives. The reality that they want to portray is that these women are glamourous & wealthy. The truth is these women aren’t housewives and the majority are broke! The first season showed these women driving luxury vehicles, spending astronomical sums of money shopping and living in lavish homes. Season 2 has a residue of recession and truth all over it that is trying to be hidden by the housewives veterans.

Nene Leakes The image: leading housewife that exposes plummeting décolletage, has a say all attitude, lives in a home with her own salon downstairs & loves her husband. The reality:The home in the first season was a rental from which they were served with an eviction notice. Current claims are that the home in the second season is a rental as well. The loud housewife does not own her mansions? What kind of wealthy person doesn’t own a home? Now for the skeletons in the closet, she met her husband when she was a stripper in Atlanta and the love she claims to have must’ve dissipated on the several occasions that she cheated on him.
Sheree Whitfield The image: Raised upper middle class and she moved to upper class, former wife of NFL player Bob Whitfield, waiting to get a 7 figure divorce settlement, self proclaimed fashionista and glamazon living in a 2400 sq ft. mansion. The reality: The home in the first season was foreclosed because her ex-husband didn’t pay the mortgage which is why she is in a smaller home this season additionally the home was legally his. Not only was her home downsized but it seems her closet as well. She has been on the show with some dreadful drags including a sorry blouse and tights outfit for her housewarming. Speaking of housewarming, the food that was presented by the caterer at her home still hasn’t been paid for. The wannabe rich diva bounced the check for $346.61 and is on the verge of being sued. Having a child at 15 and arrested twice for theft at 19 doesn’t strike me as upper middle class either.
Lisa Wu-Hartwell The image: The sensible housewife with a former NFL player husband, Ed Hartwell. Mother of 1 trying to expand their family and their business. Living in a glamourous mansion in a gated community. The reality: Former wife of Keith Sweat which has 2 children that are not mentioned nor aired on the show. She wasn’t given custody and she never seemed interested in appealing the decision. She was sued by her ex for not repaying a $150k loan and filed bankruptcy. Her home was foreclosed and she had to move out of her mansion.
Kim Zolciak The image: Very wealthy with an incognito boyfriend that provides endlessly for her, former RN, aspiring singer working with Dallas Austin
The reality: The only remaining wealth is the $250k alimony & $30k child support she receives from her 70 year old ex husband. Her incognito boyfriend is really a married man named Lee Najjar, that would explain his mysteriousness. Now lets address her being a registered nurse, it seems that dressing up as a nurse and stripping qualifies for the title according to Kim, a former Atlanta stripper. Kim couldn’t spell cat on the first season, we all highly doubt she could even pronounce a medical term. Don’t go looking for her song on Itunes either, Dallas Austin has clearly stated there is no music contract and he is not working with her.

Bravo is reveling in their latest reality tv success. Their intentions were to capture a different racial and age demographic. The formula couldn’t have been easier for this dramatic mess of a series. Take wannabe nouveau riche with questionable backgrounds and let the cameras roll. Fortunately for Bravo these ladies can’t buy class which is why everyone is watching, you can put lipstick on a pig but its still a pig!

Bruno was highly anticipated by fans of Sacha Baren Cohen. Many expected the film to be equally if not better than his previous movie, Borat. Both Borat and Bruno were characters from Sacha’s HBO series, The Ali G show. Bruno was the flamboyant, runway dominating fashion correspondent and the character was a hit on the show. Very few scenes in the movie captured the original character and it was in these few scenes where laughs were provided.

Borat – Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (Widescreen Edition)

This lackluster movie only provided pornographic grade shock factor and minimal laughter. The script wasn’t thought out to maximize the comedic factor some scenes could’ve provided. Instead this movie relied solely on nudity, sexual acts and minimal comedy from the character Bruno. Sacha’s first film did involve what some would call crude behavior however he provided dialogue which provided comedic relief. Had the script focused on the traits, mannerisms and comedic factor Bruno had in the original series this movie would’ve been a hit. The movie Bruno however seemed like the script was lost and they figured that the nudity would distract from the lack of thought put into the film.
